Educational Objectives
After attending the IFSO EC Congress 2025, participants will be able to:
- Address individual needs in compliance with their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) plan.
- Analyze the latest advancements in bariatric and metabolic surgery and integrate evidence-based approaches into clinical practice.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of different surgical techniques in managing obesity and metabolic diseases.
- Compare the long-term outcomes of various bariatric procedures
- Assess the role of pharmacotherapy in obesity management
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling surgical complications
- Integrate multidisciplinary strategies by collaborating with endocrinologists, dietitians, psychologists, and other specialists for comprehensive obesity care.
- Apply knowledge of artificial intelligence and digital health tools in bariatric surgery for improved patient monitoring, surgical planning, and outcome prediction.
- Develop tailored treatment plans for special populations, including adolescents, elderly patients, and those with obesity-related genetic syndromes.
- Engage in debates and case discussions to enhance decision-making skills, particularly in areas of surgical innovation, patient selection, and long-term care.
Target Audience
The IFSO EC Congress 2025 is primarily intended for fully qualified medical specialist doctors working in the field of bariatric and metabolic surgery. The program is designed for surgeons, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, and other specialists involved in the surgical and medical management of obesity and metabolic disorders.
To Receive Your CME/CPD Certificate
The CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit-claiming procedure. The process takes about 5 minutes. We thank you for your feedback as it is an important part of CME/CPD accreditation and helps improve future educational offerings.
- Kindly note that the IFSO EC 2025 online evaluation will be active on the last day of the meeting. You will then be able to access it and claim your CME/CPD certificate.

In accordance with CME/CPD accreditation criteria and standards for commercial support to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor, those in control of the educational content must disclose potential or actual conflicts of interest. Disclosure information is evaluated and conflicts of interest are resolved. Disclosure is made to participants prior to the activity. Participants will be asked on the evaluation to assess the objectivity and independence of the event.
